Kate Harris of the Interlake Fleet has organized a day to remember and celebrate Mark White’s legacy at Stratford Ecological Center. To do this, we’re inviting you to volunteer 2 hours of your time to Stratford on Saturday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to Noon. As many of you know, Mark loved his volunteer work at Stratford as a farm hand and board treasurer. He started volunteering there the first week after he retired.
You will be helping to plant native trees and remove non-native, invasive plants in the forest. To help Stratford plan for this group, please SIGN UP NOW above. This event is limited to 20.
IMPORTANT: Please wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. We encourage you to bring your work gloves, but they’ll have some to borrow. Tools will be provided. Bring your lunch, and feel free to stay and visit the farm afterward.
If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Kreischer at Communications@hooversailingclub.com
